Stars

Stars can be seen at night.

Stars are in different sizes. Large stars are called giants or super giants. Smaller stars are called dwarfs.

Stars are in different colours. They can be red, yellow, blue or white.

Stars are made of very hot gases. Stars grow bigger and bigger and redder as the gas burns up. Then they shrink to be a small white dwarf star.

Some giant stars explode at the end of their lives. There are stars by themselves. There are double stars which are in pairs.

Large groups of stars are called galaxies. There are lots of galaxies in the universe.

The No Goat Zone

The billy goat family lived on rocky mountain. Every day the goats came down the mountain and went through the forest. They walked across the bridge. They went to the village to look for food. They ate apples and olives in autumn. In winter they ate bread. The goats ate grapes and buds in spring. They ate corn in summer. They were happy. The people were not happy. They made scarecrows  so the goats won’t eat the food.

jordan loves to eat yams, his house is good. he went to the river he hid it . wane he go to his house in the morning he fend it not there he is not so happy he is so sad . he said denzo give my yam i found on the mother farm . he is so angry . in sind the river the fish jump out the the river and jordan hold the fish he is so tired the . the hawk snatched his big fat fish of his hand . he look at hawk . the hawk gave jordan a beautiful feather . jordan walked home with his feather he took it home and he give to  his mum . the wand blew the feather . and he his mad . the wind gave jordan sad i can't eat a leaf i know said jordan . i will pass it in a book. A goat snatched the leaf out Jordan’s mad. The goat gave him milk and he is so happy he got a

milk.

Mary mackillop

Mary Mackillop

We went to Mary Mackillop Centre. I saw the sisters welcoming us. I was so happy because they were smiling at us.

First, Bronson gave a welcoming speech in the chapel. It was a very open and spacious place.

We met Sister Elizabeth, one of the first teachers at CTK. The view was beautiful. We could see Rangitoto from the convent. It is a volcano. After that we ate lunch and the sisters gave us lollies and drinks. After we finished our lunch, the sisters said good bye to us and we came back to our school.

Mice

Mice have one tail,four legs two black eyes, two pink ears,and a nose. Mice eat fruits, bread, ham, apple, dog biscuit and bird seeds. Mice give birth to 4 or 9 babies at one time. Mice are small and can fit in very small places. Mice use their paws to hold their food when they eat. Mice can sit up and mice can jump.

Hyenas belong to the dog family, they look more like dogs they lives in the bush and they feed on flesh of other animals, are aggressive they attach peoples and other animals.they kill.some people in countries like Egypt and Ethiopia kept hyenas as a pet in the old days.

My family :

In my family I have 4 people.  Mum’s name is Salame. My dad ‘s name is Abraham and my sister’s name is Yalamzod. My grandma’s name is Almeto and my grandpa’s name is Abebe. They died long ago. I have 2 uncles - their names are  Mowlow and Mesfen. Uncle Mesfen has one baby.

My interests/hobbies

I like to play soccer.  I want to be a soccer player when I grow up.  I love to read books. I like Geronimo Stilton books. I like to play to soccer and racing games on the Xbox.    I also like to study maths because it is my favourite part of learning.  I like reading with my teacher.

My country of birth is Ethiopia.

Ethiopia is a good country. It is a peaceful country. There are churches in Ethiopia.  In the nighttime some dangerous hyenas come and kill other animals like sheep, horse, cats and dogs.
